Project for Marinaside Crescent

Vancouver, 2000
A 90 foot long open ended, wedge shaped linear space containing a central pond. The pond holds a wheel shaped granite sculpture 22 and a half feet in diameter made up of 12 curved 3 inch thick water carrying granite segments radiating from a central well that is the source of water for the pond. The three granite rings set in the white concrete that extends over the water echo the ring in the central form. The ambient sound of the falling water, lit from below at night, is soothing and acts as a foil for traffic sounds
